Day trip to Kowloon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Took the Star Ferry from Wan Chai Terminal over to Kowloon.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

$2.70 (HK) coins or notes fed into machine. Token and any change is emptied from machine into hands. Walk to gate, drop token into machine and wait for the ferry to turn up. Gaps between ferries varies between 7 – 14 mins depending on day and time period of week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferry docked close to the Peninsular Hotel. Hotel was in the throws of preping for Chinese New Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Took a walk along the Avenue of Stars. The Avenue of Stars, modelled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, is an avenue located along the Victoria Harbour waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. It honours celebrities of the Hong Kong film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saw an array of past and present names as part of the Chinese influence on movie making around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then a gentle walk over to Kowloon Park. A great and watery oasis just left of Nathan Road, stretching north.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kowloon Park is a large public park in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It has an area of 13.3 hectares (33 acres).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The park was formerly the site of the Whitfield Barracks of the British Army, with a former battery (Kowloon West II Battery) in the northwestern part of the Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The park comprises many attractions that this busy part of Kowloon needs as an escape (see external link for more information – (Kowloon Park<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stopped off lunch at many choices of sit dows that populate Kowloon. Had a Tom Yum that hit the spot, along with Boat Noodles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a Thai style noodle dish, which has a strong flavor. It contains both pork and beef, as well as dark soy sauce, pickled bean curd, and some other spices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then a walk back to the ferry terminal along with the rest of bustling Hong Kong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
