After a protracted session at the tyre garage that is related to the specs of the car, all four tyres have to be replaced. A hit to the pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a late checkout, we departed around 12.30 ish and headed off for a walk along the estuary in Courtenay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caught up with a friend (Lina) of Hayley, and headed for snacks at a local place in Comox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comox (English: \/\u02c8ko\u028amo\u028aks\/) is a town of about 15,000 people on the southern coast of the Comox Peninsula in the Georgia Strait on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warm dry summers, mild winters, fertile soil and abundant sea life attracted First Nations thousands of years ago (citation needed), who called the area kw’umuxws (Kwak’wala, the adopted language of the K’omoks, for plentiful). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finished up lunch and headed to Parksville, our stop for the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parksville is a city on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The city lies along Highway 19A, 37 kilometres northwest of Nanaimo, 48 kilometres east of Port Alberni and 7 kilometres southeast of Qualicum Beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of Parksville’s land base lies between Englishman River and French Creek, although a substantial portion of the city lies east of Englishman River, along the western shores of Craig Bay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are bedded in at the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre in the cute town of Port Alberni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
