Had a lazy day window shopping and retail therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Canadians have some clever crazy shopping centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They bury them. They run under buildings, roads and open spaces. The Pacific Centre being one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pacific Centre (corporately styled as CF Pacific Centre) is a shopping mall located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and managed by Cadillac Fairview. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Based on the number of stores, most of which are underground, it is the largest mall in Downtown Vancouver with over 100 stores and shops and the 7th busiest mall in Canada with 22.1 million annual visitors as of 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anchor stores include Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, H&M, and Nordstrom. The mall is directly connected to the Hudson’s Bay department store, Vancouver Centre Mall, two SkyTrain subway stations, and the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we headed off to Canada Place. Canada Place is a building situated on the Burrard Inlet waterfront of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is the home of the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, Vancouver’s World Trade Centre, and the virtual flight ride FlyOver Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building’s exterior is covered by fabric roofs resembling sails. It is also the main cruise ship passenger terminal for the region, where cruises to Alaska originate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were there for Flyover Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FlyOver is a virtual ride attraction. The first FlyOver attraction, FlyOver Canada, opened in 2013 at Canada Place in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ride takes guests on a virtual flight across Canada, utilizing ride equipment that launches up to 61 people at a time into a 19m (62 foot) diameter spherical screen and employs wind, mist, and scents to enhance the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great experience except for vertigo sufferers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walked back uptown and payed a visit to the Fairmont Vancouver, for cocktails.
